Official Logo Competition!

TibiaUG is expanding and growing, though it might not be immediately obvious. We won't lie to you here; there are some big things in store for everyone in the coming months, both for the dedicated members and the general public.

One thing we will reveal is this: we want your help as we update. The community has always been the main attraction of Tibia Underground so we knew we had to include you in this large update.

That is why we want you to make our new company logo.

This logo will be used on the forums (not necessarily replacing our current banners but the logo will be incorporated in to them at the very least), on any of our websites and on the tools and utilities we will be providing in the future. Since it is going to be seen often and used widely, we have to reflect our community love in the logo by having you guys make it.

Now, we aren't simply going to demand a logo and then steal it with nothing in return. That is why we will be awarding the the creator of the best logo (as decided by Caid, Hux and Trinexx) with a three month Tibia premium account, one month RapidShare premium account and a special VIP badge, allowing them to get early access to information and tools in the future (among other nifty perks).

To back this up though, we will choose two runners-up. Second place will receive the special VIP badge (along with aforementioned features), while third place will have a custom emoticon (such as ) erected in their name.

Now, down to the nitty-gritty stuff, the rules!

• The logo can be whatever size you want to make it! Yes, that's right, anything. Do note this though: be prepared to resize the image for us if it it too big to be used.
• You are restricted to one entry per user, per person. That is, no creating multiple accounts just to enter.
• Once you've submitted a logo into this competition, it is ours. This means we can use anybody's logo and by entering you agree to this. Also, the winning logos can be used around sites and products. Credit will be given accordingly of course.
• Any logo submitted can be edited and changed as needed (resizing, perhaps recolouring if necessary, etc.). Again, credit will be given as due.
• The logo is not to include any images that go against site policy such as pornography of any kind.
• The logo must be your own work. Full stop.
• Any member may enter the competition provided they aren't banned, a guest or a TibiaUG scammer (as dictated by their usergroup).

Just know that a few of those are purely for legal reasons - don't worry, we don't plan on stealing anything from you, we just have to establish that you understand our intentions for the use of the image.

Here are some general recommendations:

• The logo you're designing is not a forum banner, a website banner or an advertisement. You can use said formats but don't feel restricted as such.
• The logo must be memorable, easy to see and - if text is used - easy to read.
• The logo can be transparent. It can also have a background, though.
• You choose the style and theme. Want to make it about Tibia? Go ahead. Prefer to make it about WoW? That's fine too. Just want to use simple text? Knock yourself out. We are not searching for any particular style or theme. It can be anything.
• The logo will be judged by Caid, Hux and Trinexx. That said, the votes will be as objective as possible, so fairness is guaranteed in the selection process.
• Each and every entry will be considered evenly.

So get creating! To enter, simply submit your image using this form (we will not be accepting logos submitted directly to this thread - you need to use the form). All the logos will remain confidential until at least after the competition has finished. If you have any questions use this thread.

TibiaUG will stop accepting submissions on December 23. We'll be pretty lenient here (c'mon, it's Christ-... "Winter Festival" time after all) so early December 24 is acceptable. This will give us time to judge the submissions and then publicly deliver the verdict on January 8.

Remember, anyone can enter, regardless of your perceived artistic talent. We're looking for the logo that best suits the site and even if yours was drawn with crayons it's still a valid submission.
